Going into this pregnancy has been unique in comparison to our other two.
With our oldest in 2020, we were newly married, I had just graduated college and started teaching for my first (and only) year in a public school, Chase had accepted a new job, and we had just moved. Coming off of the cusp of all of these major life changes, we were just starting to make real income but also had a lot of expenses to catch up on. We splurged where we could and when Westlyn arrived, our credit card debt was paid off and she had a budget-friendly but beautiful nursery.
Saylor arrived in the summer of 2022 and came home to a well-stocked closet, new baby gear, a fancy travel system, and was quickly introduced to what I considered to be 'luxury' baby formula...it was Kendamil! A lot had changed in the two years between the girls and we swore she would be our last baby. Truthfully, after my Thoracic Outlet Syndrome diagnosis following Westlyn's birth, I had swore that she was our last baby.
This leads us to baby boy who is due to arrive late this summer. We came back to the states to a file cabinet full of paperwork and a few totes loaded with keepsake items. In addition to purchasing all of the baby gear and necessities over again, we have also been furnishing a house, restocking a kitchen, and clothing two other kiddos. Unfortunately, my two totes full of sweet baby girl clothes will not be useful for this little one!
Here are the products that we are trying new, are tried and true, and the ones that didn't make the cut!
Tried and True
Oogiebear Nose Picker The handiest little tool! We bought this with Westlyn and have had it ever since!
2. Mam Bottles
The only bottles that my girl's have truly loved, and I find them really easy to clean!

3. Boon Bottle Drying Grass
It holds SO MUCH! It actually looks cute on the counter too!
4. Muslin Burp Clothes
These are cheap and really absorbable! I much prefer them to flannel!
5. Eucerin Baby Eczema Relief
The only lotion that keeps my kid's faces hydrated and clear from bumps!
6. Angelcare Baby Bath
We've used this for both girls and I like how easy it cleans.
7. Rolling Cart
This was a game changer for keeping newborn/postpartum supplies organized bedside!
8. Munchkin Sterilize Bags
Way easier than boiling or having a sterilizer on the counter- in my opinion!
Trying New
Noodle and Boo Products I've been using these for the girls and they have such a classic baby scent!
2. Eufy Baby Smart Sock
A smart sock is something I've always wanted to try...investing in piece of mind this time!
3. Baby Bouncer
It's not brand name but it's cute! We've truly never used one before!
4. Momcozy Sound Machine
Momcozy was sweet enough to gift this to me! We've used sound machines in the past but I'm really excited about the nightlight option with this!
5. Pamo Travel Crib
Our Graco pac n' play is very worn out, and I'm excited about the design of this!
Leaving Behind
Dr. Brown's Bottles- I know these are a classic, but they're not for us. I am not a fan of the design and it feels like too many pieces to clean! Dr. Brown's formula pitcher is a favorite of mine though!
Swaddles- This might be a hot take but they have never made a difference for our kids. We do buy muslin blankets for warmth and as carseat blankets during the summer!
3. Costly Bassinets- We went with the Angelbliss bassinet priced at about $130. We'll see if this little guy even sleeps in it for us!
4. Baby Carriers- This is NOT because we don't like them! I would love to baby wear; however, my past surgeries for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome do not allow me to do so.
